Here´s the problem...we´re at the bottom of a deep well, trying to look through several feet of muddy water, to the stars we know must be up there...
What do we know about the great unknowable God?
If we accept the standard definition of god. then he´s the creator and sustainer of everything.
So it´s his creation, and his rules.
He allowed dissent and rebellion.
But how he deals with, what in effect are defects, is his business.

In your dreams, if you were to dismiss objects and people, do you question your right to do so? I don´t even think you´d notice that you wipe away countless faceless props in your dreams.

By definition of the Reality that God generates, we are on that level -- just dust and nothingness.

Anything more than that is grace, undeserved bonus; for an existence taken for granted, and plenty of slack.

Gee, the rub is everyone wants to be god, or their own god. ´I´d do things different´, ´I wouldn´t act like that´, I´d be a lot nicer´...

But you´re not...and the thing you hate is that in the scheme of things you are very very small...

Because you think, you consider thinking the great measure of worth, and everything that thinks should be valued.
The universe must be lousy with things that think. Some come and go in a blink.
It´s no automatic measure of intrinsic worth to the universe.

In fact, It´d be no surprise to find that the dinosaurs were sentient...protest his cruelty in extinguishing them....to make room for you...

In fact, it´s almost beyond comprehension: in just calculating the outcome of any given action, even a seemingly loving one, to guide it to a good conclusion, incorporating every free-will choice along the way, and every permutation that could happen; and then repeat for every living thing in the entire universe, and then balance a dynamic moving reality, and spiritual realm, while knowing every cilia on every being, and watching what even the smallest of creatures are doing....

I couldn´t even begin to presume on what thread to pluck or weave...couldn´t guess why humans get rubbed out in mass...I don´t have the perspective to seem what was connected to what, what needed trimming, what needed transplanting, pruning, or thrown in the furnace or compost heap...

Bottom line, we´re all just created objects.

Any elevation from that is going to require some sort of relationship that He initiates, and that we respond positively to. Not going to change the basics of what we are, but will enhance what we can do and become.
