God

God is not just Truth, Love, Reality, Hope, Intelligence, and all the other attributes; but Heīs those Attributes with Person-hood incorporated. Heīs every Real thing, and one of those Real things is being a Living Self.

A Being who is aware of Himself. (As opposed to an impersonal Force, or Principle, or Cosmic All Universal Soul.)(And the definition of God is the Pattern, the Origin, the Container, the Maker of Everything.)

Itīs the Person-hood that animates all the other things He is. He has communicated to us that His self-image is that of a Father, a pattern He put in us, so that we would understand the most important aspect of His nature (what He himself considers most important). He identifies with being our Father. That is Godīs Identity when asked "what is God?". (Not any sort whatsoever of dualistic Being.)

God has a definition, and Heīs very concerned that we get it right. Heīs allowing history to spell out His nature by what He is and what He is not. He wants the definition neither to be misunderstood nor ignored. But He has to allow such, to keep free will in operation. (Big flaming letters in the sky, and mountains and seas materializing around you, with thundering voice telling you what to do; with all games and illusions exposed; doesnīt allow your free will to choose faith. Thatīs not choice, thatīs a Done Deal.)

And faith is the key to being the creature you were created to be; and is the point where the Fall happened because we didnīt have faith that our Father knew what was best for us.

Satanīs lie was that we could be independent entities: (We can never be independent entities unless we become gods and create our own universe and reality. Knowledge is not the same as having the power to carry it out.) but our created composition doesnīt have that capability built in. Nothing does.

(Satan knew that for God to declare something to be so, made it Real; that was the point of the temptation in the wilderness, to get God to declare Satan equal. At that point, Satan would have withdrawn completely to go to be a God in his own universe.)

But independence is allowed so that freewill can validate our subservience. We voluntarily surrender our false self-sovereignty for His ownership of us.

All the gears and workings and forces of all the universes to infinite depths and heights of all reality, is focused personally on each and every individual created creature. The intelligent, aware, and caring eye of all existence has His eye upon you every second, and with a personal focused regard.

A paradox is that as much as God is Everything, there are things which God is not. The things that God allows outside of Himself is temporary for the Mystery of Redemption to be completed. Why? So the Mystery of Love can be displayed. Why? Because He wants to communicate Himself to His created. He desires an eventual intimate Partnership.

But weīre cursed with the knowledge of Good (that which is Real) and Evil (that which is allowed to exist separate from God). The curse is that the two are so entwined in our minds, we canīt separate out the elements of rebellion from the pure things of God. It isnīt just intellectual knowledge of good & evil; itīs that you now have the taste of both in your soul. The knowledge of good and evil is the experience of good and evil. On this playing field, one drop of evil, rots the entire of good.

This is the point where all rules can and are disregarded and people will argue that white is black, and visa-versa.

God personifies all of His Attributes. He is the Father of Ultimate Love. He is the Word of Truth. He is the comforting Hands of Compassion. He is the Great Revealer of Light. He also is the author of Personality. It makes all His attributes alive (as we think of living things, people, plants, and animals). His personality has desires also. These desires are centered around our excessive of free will. He excersises this personality when He communicates with His creation.

In as much as you can say that God is Everything, youīre right. But He Himself has showed where our focus should be and how He wants to be seen, and itīs not as an all inclusive generalization.

Would you rather I posted endless Biblical quotes saying the same thing? Itīd take a month of scholars to untangle it.

How ībout I dance in a circle, speak in crypic semi-magical language and rub sweet-smelling oils on your souls.

Naaah...that ainīt me.

Part of the definition of God, is that He contains all. A force would be limited, because it would not contain a personality; and God & limited are mutually exclusive.

A Force without direction would be hazardous. Thereīs no direction without volition. And volition would exhibit personality.

Remember Platoīs cave?
In the cave (here in life in the world) all is darkness and shadows. But the shadows were cast by the real objects outside the cave (the realm of the Ideal).

In such a way, the Author and receptacle and dispensator of such a thing as Love, for example, not only would be Love, but would be Love as a Person, Love with volition and choices and personality. God is the Real (the world outside the cave) and the shadows of things like love here, are pale reflections of His pure love; He being the essence of Love.

This Personality would want to express Its personality in the choices made, and (more importantly to us) in communicating what He is, to the universe He made.
To rational creatures, He would relate to us anthropomorphically, to communicate on our level (otherwise it wouldnīt be communication) to express what His wants were; and as His creatures, to express the same wants.

Heīs the Originator of consciousness itself, and the designer of our consciousness

Heīs everything. He can be beyond conceiving, beyond all concepts; and be a Being also. Heīs not limited.

In fact Jesus is that manifestation that God can be Man at the same time.

So He can be your mist, at the same time, be that Being on a throne.

Doesnīt matter much to me what you believe as long as you leave me alone to believe what I want. I enjoy hearing differing points of view, even though I may totally disagree with the conclusions reached. So what. Iīm responsible for me and youīre responsible for you. I donīt need to convince you of anything; but as I like to see other peopleīs reasoning processes, I display mine for others to look at. Fair trade, no robbery.

If God wants to tell you something, Heīll tell you something. If you sincerely search for Him, youīll find Him. Easy. Itīs the following what He says, thatīs the hard part.

Itīs fun and instructive to compare notes, and no surprise we like those who agree with our world view, and tend to be critical of those that donīt. A lot of this tension is because all the dues paid in gaining some wisdom is put down or brushed casually aside by those who take a ībubble-gum non-thoughtī approach. Let it slide off your back, although itīs tough ignoring non-analytical nay-sayers. The hardest thing for me personally is to overlook those who are īdeliberately ignorantī; who donīt like facts or self-examination or thinking.

The Word of God as I see it described in the Bible, is Jesus. (FHL, insert quotes here).

And methinks a discussion of the nature of God would lead into what the Word of God is.
(Foundation before details, or weīll wander all over the place.)

And as far as concepts being threats...HA!

If what I believe is so weak to be swayed by the next concept that comes along; then that belief wasnīt worth hanging onto.

If Iīm so weak that nothing stays, ever; then you havenīt found what you need to find yet -- keep searching.

Now if you ask my personal opinion on something specific, Iīll give it.

So, yes, it is a one-shot deal. The penalty is ruff, but the solution simple.

Check out the story on the seeds that were sown, only one out of four made it. Either one forth of humans make it, or you have only a 25 percent chance of it gaining root in you. Sounds harsh, but itīs His rules. One of the lessons is to trust Him, and leave the humanly unfairness of it for Him to resolve, worry about your own relationship with Him, rather than universal salvation which is His business. Remember, youīre a created object with NO inherent rights, other than what He gives you.

Piss and moan about the rules, and say you wonīt play because of them; then youīre given the free will to do so. Itīs those that trust Him that He is fair and loving and concerned, that listen to Him and believe.
